I am a committed Catholic and have been a member of the Holy Trinity parish since moving to Dorchester 13 years ago. I enjoy being part of the Children's liturgy team. I have two children at St Mary's and I am passionate about the community we have at the school. I have extensive administrative and organisational experience and work at the RNLI HQ in Poole as part of their International Development team.

Fr Barry
Parish Priest and Foundation Governor
Fr Barry is a foundation governor and the parish priest of Holy Trinity Dorchester. He thinks the school is a vital part of the parish and the local community. He has many years of being a governor of different schools including most recently 12 years at St Joseph’s RC School in Poole. As a governor he is particularly interested in the welfare of all who make up the school community.
He is a member of the admissions committee and the finance and premises committee. He is also linked to Head Teachers performance and Attendance as well as Health and Safety.

Mrs Helen Johnston
Foundation Governor
I have over 20 years experience gained in education roles including class teacher, middle leader, school improvement advisor, local authority SEND advisor, headteacher and executive headteacher. I have taught and led in a variety of schools - Catholic, community, free schools and academy trusts.
I have previous school governance experience in both foundation and community governor appointments.
I moved to Dorchester four years ago and undertake various community based volunteer activities.

Parent Governor
This is my first role as a Parent Governor and I am looking forward to being more involved in the St Mary’s Community. I have lived and worked in Dorchester all of my life and have a background in Adult Social Services. I hope to be able to represent parents to ensure that the school builds on and improves the best possible opportunities and experiences for our children.

Parent Governor
I have 3 children who attend St Mary's and I am passionate about the school ethos and community we have. I am looking forward to working alongside the school to ensure it provides every child with a positive, safe and nurturing environment to learn.
My professional background is within the Aerospace industry where I have gained 20 years of experience working in various different roles and multi discipline teams.
