Parent & Teacher Association (PTA)

The St Mary's PTA is co-led by a group of parents who help coordinate fundraising and support for activities, events and resources which help all pupils have the best school experience possible.

Fundraising 

Money raised by the PTA supports the school in many ways. It subsidises coaches so all students can enjoy school trips, replenishes school equipment such as books and playground activities, and supports other small items which make budgets stretch a bit further and students feel special.

For 2025-6 the school is fundraising for an exciting outdoor classroom project, aiming to create a sustainable growing space where children can learn about nature, healthy eating, and the importance of caring for our environment. 

Events

Throughout the school year the PTA organises fundraising events such as Easter Bingo and the annual Christmas Shop, as well as numerous smaller sales of cakes, ice lollies and pre-loved uniform.
