Week 26th-30th September 2022
This week we have been finding out what happens to our heart when we exercise, in Science by feeling our heart rate before and after activity.
We also started to learn to play a few repeated notes on a glockenspiel along with a song we had learned to sing in music.
Week 20th-23rd September 2022
This week we did some drama about the animals our Write Stuff story - The Rainbow Crow. They were freezing in their winter home and needed help.
We also sent a bottle across the ocean to ask for items to help us survive when stranded on a desert island in Science.
In our key stage 1 Liturgy we learned about Prudence by reading and talking about the parable of the prodigal son.
Week 12th-16th September 2022
This week we had a key stage 1 Liturgy in the memorial garden. We read the parable of the sower and planted bulbs, which will bloom in the spring.
Week 5th-9th September 2022
This week we have revisited the book by Oliver Jeffers - 'Here We Are'.
We used google maps and atlases to find our country and school.
We talked about belonging to St Mary's and wrote an acrostic poem using The Write Stuff rainbow lenses to guide us.
In maths we counted a large number by grouping dienes into tens and ones, related to the 'Here We Are' story.
We talked about what we might need to live in our world in Science.
