Happy Friday Everyone!

This week we have finished off writing our own limericks and have embraced National Poetry Day and began writing some poems of our own.

Our topic of Europe continues and we have started researching our chosen countries to produce an information booklet.

They children are continuing to enjoy their tag rugby and their skills are really beginning to develop.

Have a lovely weekend.

This week we have been revisiting our trip to New Barn by making bread and butter on Tuesday. I hope you got to try some. J The children really enjoyed it.

I have been very impressed at the standard of reading during our guided reading sessions. When you read with your child at home try to remember to ask them questions about the book you are reading. This helps them to develop comprehension skills.

We have finished writing our poems and they are now up in the cloakroom for you to read. They are marvellous. I feel we definitely have some budding poets in our midst.

They have also recoded themselves reading them out loud. You can see their video on the school website.

As part of our 50 years celebrations Year 3 looked at music of the sixties and particularly The Beatles. We learned ‘Let it Be’ and recorded it onto video which you can also see on the website.
