Blog November 2018

Week 5th-9th November 2018
Year 2 had a wonderful trip to Lulworth Castle on Tuesday where they learned about the local castle and that it was built to impress a king.
They discovered many exciting features through a game of eye spy, drew pictures of different areas of interest, hunted for 10 bats, 30 gargoyles and 115 doors and played dressing up in the kitchen !
They climbed to the top of the castle to catch a birds' eye view of the surroundings and ran around the grounds in a game of tag. They were impeccably behaved and enthused by the trip.
Week 12th-16th November 2018
The children finished all of their animations with Mrs Wood this week.
These short clips are above and took a lot of imagination, determination and patience- plus the children loved making them. Please watch them.
Week 19th-23rd November 2018
The children showed how much they know about healthy living this week with their answers to our visiting dentist (Mrs Bradley) and nurse (school nurse Karen Caines). They were able to share ways that they stay healthy in body and mind both at school and at home. I was very proud of them.
Week 26th-30th November 2018
the children have had a wonderful time fencing this week, to link with our castle topic. Mr Mason was impressed with their control and balance!
Thank you for your recommendations for Christmas stories. These will be compiled and given out to you soon, ready for Christmas wish lists.
