Blog March 2019

Week 4th-8th March 2019

This week Year 3 celebrated World Book Day by dressing up as characters from the Wizard of Oz. Everyone looked fantastic and we had a lovely day creating a travel log of Dorothy's journey through Oz.

We are continuing our celebrations of travel by writing a poem later on in the week to conclude our celebrations.
Week 11th-15th March 2019

Last week we had a fantastic Literacy week for World Book Day. We completed travel logs for Dorothy's journey around Oz. We wrote travel poems where we thought about loosing our favourite toy and how it might go on a journey to be returned to us.

We then finished our week with a trip to Waterstones where we got to choose our own book for World Book Day and then listened to a story. We all had a fantastic time!
Week 18th-22nd March 2019

This week Year 3 have been looking at persuasion in their writing. We have received a letter from Mr Boggington who wants to build an onion factory on our field and have had a debate about whether this would be a good idea. We are then going to write Mr Boggington a letter to persuade him to build his onion factory elsewhere.

In Maths we have continued looking at Fractions and equivalent fractions using pictures to help us.
