What a week we have had this week; a super start with Father’s Day assembly followed by the pantomime in the afternoon.

Wednesday saw a visit from the ‘Music Man’ which EVERYONE enjoyed. He created and told the most amazing stories, with sounds and actions, encouraged and assisted by the children. I haven’t seen some of the children laugh that much.  Continuing on our music theme, we made our own musical instruments and played in our class band.

Then, Thursday…Sports Day! What a day. The children did so well remembering all the different things they had to do. I am sure you will agree they all did so well at their races and were all great sports people and gracious finishers.

Well done ALL of you; a great week.

I hope you all had a wonderful half term and we are very glad the sun has come out and warmed everything up.

The introduction of Mrs Luther’s prize box has brought about an influx of brilliant handwriting. ☺ Keep it coming and very well done to all of you who are trying so hard.

Keep up the good work with the word rockets; it is really paying off with great improvements in the children’s reading.

We have been focussing on subtraction a bit this week and it has proven a little tricky so if you would like to follow this up at home I am sure that it would help.

We have finished off the week with a lovely tea party to celebrate Queen Elizabeth’s 90th birthday, just before the rain came…I guess the gardens needed a drink.
