Send our friend to school campaign

British values: Send My Friend to School Friday 1st July

The School Council joined children from several other DASP schools for this event at Puddletown Middle School. All the schools had to make a speech about why they thought it was important for everyone to go to school. Then the children put questions to Oliver Letwin, MP. Olivia Yates did a great job delivering the speech for St Mary’s, and Johnny Gannon asked a question that he had thought of: Will the UK leaving the EU affect how we help other countries?

We also delivered the rucksacks that everyone had made with our messages on for Mr Letwin to take back to Parliament. Thank you to everyone who made a rucksack. There were some beautiful designs. You can watch a video of Olivia giving her speech.
